CLAIMING POST!
Claiming for the first annual hp_bunintheoven Pregnancy fest is now open! A few things before we begin:

★ The minimum word count is 500 words. Sorry, but I am not an artist, so whatever the equivalent is for art, then I’m sure anyone in the know can work it out!
★ Each prompt can be claimed once for fic and once for art. I will update the prompt list as soon as I reasonably can to indicate which prompts have been claimed.
★ Claims are first come, first served.
★ Please copy and paste the claiming form below into the comments section with your choices of prompts. You have the option to list three choices. Please list the top three prompts you wish to claim. If your first has already been claimed, you will get your second, etc. You can list only one claim if you wish.
★ If none of the prompts interest you, you may come up with your own prompt. Please remember to still fill in the claiming form, though, so I know you want to participate!
★ All comments are screened to protect your email address. Once I have received your comment, I will send you an email confirming your claim. Please respond to it so I know I have the correct email for you!

Additional: I'd like this to be on the humorous side. Maybe Molly is aghast, but Arthur is ecstatic and can't stop strutting around like a banty rooster. Appalled children is a plus!

Prompt: It takes a village to raise a child. In the same vein, it takes a whole Hogwarts House to conceal a pregnancy until after the NEWTs.
Suggested pairing(s): Millicent/ Theo, Pansy/ Adrian (he's in the same year as her because I said so, just go with it), Daphne/ Blaise, or any other het pairing from one of the other Houses as long it's not Hermione and/ or Draco-centric.
Additional: I see this as a no-war AU or an eight year fic. Said pairing find themselves in trouble and in fear of expulsion or worse, facing their overly strict parents, they turn to their Housemates for help. Maybe the collective thought of 'our' baby instead of 'their' baby takes over in the months that follow. If you do the combination of Slytherin House and eight-year fic, I can see Harry getting suspicious and wanting to get to the bottom of what those pesky Slytherins are up to.

Additional: I'd like to see a pregnancy progress from an outsider's perspective and all the (crazy) things they'll do to make it easier on the expecting couple. For selfish reasons, of course.

Additional: I imagine this as a no-war AU and the reason Katie missed a few months of schooling in her seventh year wasn't because of the cursed necklace, but an unplanned pregnancy. Maybe a series of flashbacks to the conversation with her parents at the time and the period leading up to giving birth while their daughter and boyfriend try to convince them they've it all figured out.

Prompt: Harry wants so much to be a father (a Daddy), but women really don't do it for him. And while Ron is sure there are hundreds, even thousands of witches who would happily bear his child.... OY. No strangers, please! And besides, he couldn't possibly not live with his own child! His baby should have TWO parents. That live together and love each other if at all possible. But... gay. Total impasse. Maybe he should admit to Hermione and Ron that he fancies men? Hermione can solve anything, right? But.... embarrassing!
Draco desperately needs to sire an heir because Lucius, but on the other hand... Lucius. Not to mention, while women really don't do it for him, no wizard: pure-blood, half-blood or even Muggle-born (who is he kidding? ESPECIALLY not Muggle-born!) is willing to get him pregnant. Admittedly, he hasn't exactly asked a lot of wizards, but why would he? He reads the paper. He knows the Malfoy name is mud. Which leads to, how could he do that to his own child? Bequeath him a family so disgraced? Maybe he should just wait a few decades, let all this nastiness die down, let people forget a bit more. He'll be fertile for fifty or sixty more years, according to his (deeply impressed) Healer.
