Notes:

“I didn’t tell you about me being pregnant just to get you to propose, get up right now before anyone sees you.” She thought being in public would save her from any humiliation, but Ron didn’t seem to care what people thought about him, or that people could gossip. Luckily, no one seemed to have noticed anything strange going on, so Pansy tried to breathe again.
“What are you planning to do?” Ron asked rather foolishly, his eyes moving down to her belly as if he could already see a bump.
“Not marry for starters,” she replied determinedly. She could see he was slightly hurt by her response, but as soon as she had decided to keep the child, she knew what she didn’t want, and being forced to marry someone she didn’t know was certainly not a part of that plan. Till then every time they were alone, they were fucking, rarely did they talk and get to know each other, which was one of the reasons why she didn’t want to marry him. There were other reasons as well, He was a Gryffindor, he was a Weasley, he was friends with the man who she foolishly tried to offer to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, he had more siblings than she had family, and then the last point was that she didn’t think they actually cared for each other.
Even though they had mostly only fucked the times they were alone she’d learned to tell when something was wrong. “We had fun,” she began. “However, that is all it was, fun, I don’t think either of us could stand being married to the other for long before we would try to kill another.”
“You don’t really know that.” Ron protested as he grabbed her hands. She fought the urge to pull hers out of his grasp, but if she didn’t want anything to do with him, she wouldn’t have told him of the pregnancy.
“It started as hate sex, and while we’ve gotten along better as of lately it’s not something you can really build a relationship on.” Pansy could see he was about to protest so she added something else she knew would shut him up. “I also promised myself never to marry someone who isn’t rich, I need someone who can take care of me.” She also promised herself never to befriend a Gryffindor, and never sleep with someone who wasn't a potential husband, but Ron didn’t need to know that.
“So, what will happen to it?”
Had she not wanted him as a part of her life then she could have terminated the pregnancy, told Ron she was tired of him and moved onto someone who at least checked off several boxes on her list of requirements.
“I want to keep it, meaning I need you to get your shit together.” Ron nodded seriously. “I don’t want to marry you, and I have accepted I’ll have to take care of most expenses, all I need from you is to be around and pull your part of the weight whenever I need help.”
“I will do it, anything you need, I’ll do it,” he answered quickly and squeezed her hand. “All you have to do is ask something of me and I’ll do my best to fulfil your wish.”
Pansy wanted to smile and thank him, but she knew it would be hard no matter how determined he was to be there for her. A part of her wished Ron was closer to her dream man. She had a lot of fun with him even though they had a rough start. Ron was good in bed, kind, selfless, loyal, and quite decided when he wanted to be. She didn’t know what would happen, if they had any kind of future together or not, but she was certain he would be a good father, and sometimes that was the most important part of sharing parenthood with someone, trusting the partner would care for their child.
Ron pulled her hand up to his lips and placed a soft kiss on it, a kiss which send tingled of pleasure through her body which reminded her of why she started seeing him in the first place.
“Want to head to my place?” she asked.
“Is that a good idea?”
Pansy snorted. “What’s the worst thing that can happen? I’m already pregnant.”
Ron’s smile was so genuine it made her warm and giddy all over. Paying for their food they hurried home where they would spend the rest of the day in bed.
